Apprentice Print Finisher

Excellent opportunity working for an established printing business in Gloucestershire learning the use of high speed laser printers and a complete range of print finishing equipment. Excellent opportunities for progression too.

Job Description
We are an established printing and mailing business working with a range of business. We digitally print, finish and mail packs in various sizes and quantities. The position is for an apprentice to learn a full range of print related skills from digital print to machine enclosing of mailing packs. This will include the use of paper guillotines, folders and stitching machines. Digital print on both high speed laser and inkjet systems will also be covered with the use of computer systems to produce complex personalised data driven print.
The opportunity would suit anyone with basic computer skills and good manual dexterity with a willingness to work and perform at their best in a busy environment.

This position will lead to a fulltime job with excellent progression prospects for the right candidate.

Weekly Wage
£255

Working Week (Days and Hours)
37.5 Hours per week Mon-Friday 9am to 5pm
½ hour lunch break

Skills Required
Computer literate with good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Will need to learn a range of skills.

Qualifications Required
GSCE English and Maths to a minimum of grade C

Personal Qualities
Willing to learn and have a positive proactive approach to the job in hand.

From April 1st 2020 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.

For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
